Executive Summary

Thomas (Tom) Lin is Chief Revenue Officer of Numerix, the New York company that supplies derivatives pricing, valuation and risk analytics to banks, asset managers and energy firms. He leads its global revenue strategy, with responsibility for direct sales, business development, marketing and revenue operations across North America, EMEA and APAC. He came to Numerix after a long career at AvePoint, the data management and governance software company, where he was the first sales executive and rose to Chief Customer Officer, Chief Operating Officer and Chief Revenue Officer.

Career Highlights

  • Chief Revenue Officer of Numerix, overseeing global direct sales, business development, marketing and revenue operations teams.
  • Quoted as Numerix’s CRO on its strategic collaboration with AWS (November 2025), its partnership with Japanese power company JERA (May 2026) and the integration of Numerix analytics into Apex Group’s RiskMonitor (August 2026).
  • Promoted from Chief Customer Officer to Chief Operating Officer of AvePoint, effective 23 August 2021, as disclosed in the company’s Form 8-K.
  • AvePoint’s first sales executive, later holding operational leadership positions in Japan and EMEA.
  • Also served as AvePoint’s Chief Revenue Officer before joining Numerix.

Professional Journey

Lin built most of his career at AvePoint, the data management and governance software company. AvePoint’s own SEC filing describes him as the company’s first sales executive and credits him with being instrumental in growing the business over two decades. Much of that work was international: he held operational leadership roles in Japan and EMEA before becoming Chief Customer Officer.

In August 2021 AvePoint, by then listed on Nasdaq, announced a reshuffle of its executive team. Lin succeeded Mr. Brown (so named in the filing) as Chief Operating Officer effective 23 August 2021, reporting to Executive Chairman Xunkai Gong, while Brown kept his roles as General Counsel, Chief Legal Officer and Chief Compliance Officer. Numerix says Lin later also served as AvePoint’s Chief Revenue Officer. His AvePoint work centred on helping enterprises handle complex data governance and risk problems.

He then joined Numerix as Chief Revenue Officer. Numerix is led by CEO Emanuele Conti. It is a different market from AvePoint’s: quantitative pricing and risk models for capital markets rather than collaboration-data governance. The go-to-market job is similar, though, in selling complex risk tooling to large regulated institutions. Lin has been the company’s voice on recent partnerships, including the AWS collaboration on cloud-native delivery, JERA’s use of Numerix derivatives analytics for energy risk in Japan, and the embedding of Numerix analytics in Apex Group’s RiskMonitor for buy-side firms. On the Numerix leadership page he sits alongside an Executive Vice President and Head of Global Sales and a Chief Marketing Officer.
