Executive Summary
Scott Southwood is Chief Revenue Officer of Quantum Metric, the Colorado Springs company whose platform analyses how customers use websites and apps so that businesses can improve their digital products. He joined in January 2021, days after a $200 million Series B led by Insight Partners valued the company at more than $1 billion. He was hired to turn that funding into revenue growth. Since then the company reports passing $100 million in annual recurring revenue in 2023 and counting a fifth of the Fortune 500 as customers. He came from Box, where he led North American sales, account management and renewals, and before that he ran Americas sales for Symantec’s cloud security practice.

Professional Journey
Southwood spent five years in the British Navy before moving into technology sales. At Symantec he was Head of Sales for America in the cloud security business. His job there was to build out the practice and its sales team to grow SaaS revenue.
He then joined Box, the cloud content management company, as SVP of Sales. There he led the North American sales, account management and renewal organisation, so he was responsible for keeping and expanding existing customers as well as winning new ones.
Quantum Metric announced him as Chief Revenue Officer on 26 January 2021, alongside a new CFO and a new advisory board member. The previous week the company had closed a $200 million Series B led by Insight Partners at a valuation above $1 billion, one of the first new unicorns of 2021. Mario Ciabarra founded Quantum Metric in 2015 with David Wang. Its platform captures and analyses digital sessions so that product, engineering and customer-experience teams can see where users struggle. The company says it now processes more than four billion sessions a month. Southwood was based in New York City when he joined and reports directly to Ciabarra.
The milestones the company has published since his arrival show a larger business: customers including 20% of the Fortune 500 by 2022, $100 million in ARR in 2023, and the launch of its Felix AI capabilities in 2024 and agentic AI in 2025.
