Executive Summary
Scott Erickson is Chief Revenue Officer of Clearwater Analytics, the single-instance SaaS platform that automates investment accounting, reconciliation, reporting and analytics for insurers, asset managers, corporate treasuries and public-sector funds. He has spent his entire executive career at one company: he joined Clearwater in Boise in 2005 as a new account manager, implemented many of its earliest accounts, built its product management function from scratch, and then climbed through client services, sales, the chief operating officer’s seat and a regional presidency before being named the company’s first-ever Chief Revenue Officer in April 2023. That appointment consolidated sales across the Americas, Europe and Asia under one leader for the first time. He has since carried the revenue function through the acquisition of Enfusion and through Clearwater’s own $7.4 billion sale to a Permira-led investor consortium, which closed in June 2026 and ended its four and a half years as a listed company.
Career Highlights
- Named Clearwater Analytics’ first Chief Revenue Officer, announced 4 April 2023, taking responsibility for sales in Europe, Asia and the Americas; chief executive Sandeep Sahai said he could “think of no one more deserving of the title”.
- Twenty years at a single employer, joining as a new account manager in 2005 and reaching the global revenue seat — an unusually long internal arc for a C-suite fintech executive.
- Built Clearwater’s product management team from the ground up in the company’s early years, and personally implemented many of its first customer accounts.
- Led the strategy and go-to-market plans for new products and services from 2013 to 2016, and drove the company’s expansion into international markets.
- Served as Chief Operating Officer from 2017 to 2021, then as President, Americas and New Markets, where he owned relationships with J.P. Morgan, Aegon Asset Management, Avallis Investments and Asia Capital Insurance and oversaw the launch of new products including Clearwater LPx and Clearwater Prism.
- Added the Asia Pacific region to his remit in December 2022, four months before the CRO appointment gave him global responsibility.
- Still Chief Revenue Officer at the close of the June 2026 take-private: his last Form 4 as a Section 16 reporting person covers a transaction dated 25 June 2026 and carries that officer title.
Professional Journey
Erickson joined Clearwater Analytics in 2005, when the Boise company was a startup selling investment accounting software into the insurance market, and his first job there was as a new account manager. The early work was implementation — getting Clearwater’s first customers live on a platform that was still being built. By 2008 he was leading that function as Director of Operations and Client Services, and during the same period he built the product management team from nothing and pushed the platform’s expansion from insurance into asset management.
Between 2013 and 2016 he held the combined role of Director of Client Services and Product Management, owning strategy and go-to-market planning for new products and leading the effort to take Clearwater into international markets. He moved to the revenue side in 2016 as Director of Sales for the Americas, and in 2017 was promoted to Chief Operating Officer, a role he held for four years spanning the period in which Clearwater scaled toward its 2021 initial public offering.
In 2021 he took the title President, Americas and New Markets, running growth in those regions and building out the company’s newer product lines. The clients he carried in that period — J.P. Morgan, Aegon Asset Management, Avallis Investments, Asia Capital Insurance — are the reference accounts the company cited when it promoted him. In December 2022 Asia Pacific was folded into his portfolio, and on 4 April 2023 Clearwater announced he would become its first Chief Revenue Officer with global responsibility for sales. The same announcement disclosed that Gayatri Raman was resigning as President of Europe, and set out a European leadership bench — Brian Slattery in Northern Europe, Josef Sommeregger in DACH, Thomas van Cauwelaert in France, Sai Perry heading solutions — that would report to Erickson.
The years since have reshaped the company around him rather than moving him. Clearwater acquired Enfusion, whose portfolio management and order execution products are now sold as “Enfusion by Clearwater” alongside the Beacon trading and risk platform. Then, on 20 December 2025, Clearwater signed an agreement to be acquired by GT Silver BidCo, a vehicle of a consortium including Permira, Warburg Pincus, Francisco Partners and Temasek. The deal closed on 25 June 2026 for roughly $7.4 billion in cash, the NYSE listing was withdrawn, and the board was replaced but for chief executive Sandeep Sahai. Erickson filed his final Form 4 that day, still as Chief Revenue Officer, and the company’s leadership page continues to list him in the role under private ownership.
