FourKites brought him back as CRO in March 2024.

  • One of FourKites’ earliest employees; the company credits him with closing early customer deals including Coca-Cola and Nestle.
  • Senior Vice President, Americas at FourKites, over a tenure of about five and a half years in which the company added hundreds of Fortune 2,000 customers, raised a Series D round and completed three acquisitions.

  • Chief Revenue Officer at last-mile delivery company OneRail from December 2022, leading marketing, sales and professional services.

Professional Journey

Before logistics technology, Richardson spent years in enterprise software. Turvo’s 2021 announcement of his hiring credited him with more than 22 years in technology solutioning and sales leadership and said he had held leadership roles at Microsoft, Infor, Plex and OpenText. His background is in enterprise supply chain, transportation, logistics and ERP software. No source gives his titles or dates at those companies.

He joined FourKites in 2016, when it was an early-stage company, and FourKites describes him as one of its first employees. He helped establish the real-time transportation visibility category and closed some of its earliest customer deals, including Coca-Cola and Nestle. By the time he left he was Senior Vice President, Americas. Turvo’s announcement says that during his five and a half years the company added hundreds of Fortune 2,000 customers, raised a Series D round and completed and integrated three acquisitions. OneRail later said he had helped take FourKites’ funding from Series A through Series D and grow it to nearly 800 employees.

In November 2021 he became Chief Revenue Officer of Turvo, the San Mateo transportation management software company. OneRail said he posted record growth there ahead of Turvo’s acquisition by Lineage Logistics in June 2022. In December 2022 OneRail, an Orlando last-mile delivery platform, hired him as its Chief Revenue Officer shortly after its $33 million Series B round. His remit there was the company’s go-to-market strategy, with the marketing, sales and professional services teams under him.

FourKites announced his return as Chief Revenue Officer on 14 March 2024, in the same release that promoted Priya Rajagopalan to President, Product, Technology and Operations. “I am thrilled to come back home to FourKites,” he said, calling it “the market-leading company and the industry category I helped pioneer.” He still holds the role on the company’s leadership page. He is originally from Detroit and lives in Dallas, and he speaks on supply chain and transportation at industry conferences and educational institutions.
