Executive Summary

Jeff Belanger is Chief Revenue Officer of RouteOne, the Farmington Hills, Michigan company whose platform connects car dealers with auto lenders for credit applications, eContracting, F&I menus and compliance. RouteOne was formed in 2002 by four captive and bank lenders: Ally Financial, Ford Motor Credit Company, TD Auto Finance and Toyota Financial Services. Belanger joined in 2003 and has spent his whole career there since, moving through operations, project management, product development and business development before his promotion to Chief Revenue Officer in May 2021. The company credits him with leading the industry’s adoption of eContracting among dealers and finance sources.

Career Highlights

  • Chief Revenue Officer of RouteOne since May 2021, responsible for growth across its revenue streams by aligning all business development departments, and for customer service across its customers.
  • Joined RouteOne in 2003, a year after it was formed, and held leadership positions in Operations, Project Management, Product Development, Finance Source and Dealer Business Development.
  • Credited by RouteOne with leading the industry’s adoption of eContracting among dealers and finance sources, and with helping build what it calls the industry’s largest network of integration partnerships.
  • Spoke for RouteOne at the January 2026 launch of RouteOne Insights Premium, a data intelligence product for finance sources.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Communication from Michigan State University and an MBA from the Gies College of Business at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.

Professional Journey

Belanger held various roles in the automotive and auto finance industries before joining RouteOne in 2003. The company was then about a year old. It had been set up in 2002 by lenders including Ford Credit and Toyota Financial Services to give dealers one shared system for sending credit applications to multiple finance sources, rather than a separate portal for each lender.

Over the following eighteen years he worked across much of the business. RouteOne lists his leadership positions in operations, project management, product development, and in business development on both the finance-source side and the dealer side. The company does not give titles or dates for these roles. What it does single out is his part in eContracting, replacing paper retail installment contracts with electronic ones signed, transmitted and stored digitally. RouteOne says he led the industry’s adoption of eContracting among dealers and finance sources and helped build its network of integration partnerships with dealer software providers.

In May 2021 RouteOne promoted him to Chief Revenue Officer, effective immediately. Amanda George, a colleague of similar tenure, was made Chief Product Officer in the same announcement. His remit, in the company’s words, is “driving growth amongst the organization’s revenue streams by leveraging and aligning all business development departments”, and his biography adds responsibility for the customer service experience across RouteOne’s customers.

He remains in the role. When RouteOne launched Insights Premium in January 2026, a product that gives finance sources data on the whole F&I process from application through contracting, the release quoted him as Chief Revenue Officer: “Finance sources are asking for clear, timely visibility into the full F&I journey—what’s happening at each step of the way.”

He also holds a Consumer Credit Compliance Certification from the National Automotive Finance Association and a certification from the Association of Finance and Insurance Professionals.
