Executive Summary

David McNeil is Chief Revenue Officer of Weave Communications, the Lehi, Utah software company whose platform handles patient communication, scheduling and payments for dental, optometry, veterinary and other healthcare practices. He has held the role since February 2024 and is one of the five executive officers Weave names in its proxy statement. His career has been a steady progression through commercial leadership in vertical and horizontal SaaS: six and a half years at HubSpot ending as Head of North America Sales, then Chief Commercial Officer at the healthcare practice software company Tebra, then Chief Revenue Officer at the workplace platform Envoy, before Weave. He arrives at a moment of change for the company: in August 2026 Weave agreed to be acquired by Francisco Partners for $7.40 a share and delisted from the New York Stock Exchange.

Career Highlights

  • Chief Revenue Officer of Weave Communications since February 2024, named as an executive officer in the company’s 2026 proxy statement.
  • Chief Revenue Officer at Envoy, the workplace platform provider, from July 2022 to October 2023.
  • Served in multiple roles at Tebra, Inc., formerly PatientPop, from November 2020 to June 2022, rising to Chief Commercial Officer in November 2021.
  • Spent March 2014 to October 2020 at HubSpot in a succession of roles, finishing as Head of North America Sales from July 2019.
  • Executive Advisor to the venture capital firm Scale Venture Partners since February 2022, and to the financial software company FinQore since December 2024.
  • Earlier career included go-to-market work at Salesforce, per Weave’s own executive biography.

Professional Journey

McNeil took a bachelor of science in corporate finance and investment management at the University of Alabama and built his career in software sales rather than finance. Weave’s own account of his track record names Salesforce among the companies where he drove growth, though no source found dates that period.

The documented portion of his career begins in March 2014 at HubSpot, where he spent six and a half years across several roles, ending as Head of North America Sales from July 2019 to October 2020 — running the region’s sales organisation for a company that had by then become one of the defining mid-market SaaS businesses. From November 2020 he moved into vertical healthcare software at Tebra, then still called PatientPop, holding multiple roles before becoming Chief Commercial Officer in November 2021.

In July 2022 he took his first chief revenue officer post, at Envoy, the workplace and visitor management platform, staying until October 2023. Alongside the operating work he began advising investors and founders, becoming an Executive Advisor to Scale Venture Partners in February 2022 and later to FinQore.

Weave hired him as Chief Revenue Officer in February 2024, putting him in charge of revenue for a company selling communication, scheduling and payments software into small and mid-sized healthcare practices — a return to the vertical healthcare software market he had worked in at Tebra. He sits on a leadership team led by Chief Executive Officer Brett White alongside Chief Financial Officer Jason Christiansen and Chief Operating Officer Marcus Bertilson.

The company’s ownership is about to change. On August 18, 2026 Weave’s board unanimously approved an Agreement and Plan of Merger with entities affiliated with Francisco Partners Management, under which each share converts into the right to receive $7.40 in cash and Weave’s stock is delisted from the New York Stock Exchange and deregistered. The transaction had not closed as of this review.
