Professional Journey
Guggina earned a B.S. in accounting and business management at Purdue University. He spent more than a decade in manufacturing and at Amazon, where he held leadership roles across fulfilment operations, quality control, subject matter expert teams and customer returns.
He moved to Walmart and by December 2019 was Senior Vice President, Product and Engineering for Walmart U.S. In April 2021 he became Senior Vice President, Innovation and Automation. In January 2025 he became Executive Vice President and Chief eCommerce Officer, leading the growth of the online business and marketplace.
In January 2026 Walmart named him President and CEO of Walmart U.S., effective 1 February, succeeding Furner. In the second quarter of fiscal 2027 Walmart reported global eCommerce growth of 23 percent, led by store-fulfilled pickup and delivery and marketplace.
