Executive Summary
Cassi Roper is Chief Revenue Officer of Redgate Software, the Cambridge, UK maker of database DevOps tools including Redgate Flyway and Redgate Monitor. Career Highlights
- Chief Revenue Officer of Redgate Software, listed on the company’s five-person executive team.
- Described as Redgate’s CRO in a Scale Your Sales podcast episode published in March 2024.
- Ran EMEA Strategic Accounts for Redgate before moving into broader sales leadership.
- Won Sales Director of the Year at the 2018 British Excellence in Sales Management Awards, where Redgate was a finalist in four categories.
Professional Journey
Roper says she wanted to work in technology sales straight after university but had no background in either technology or sales. To learn the basics she took a job selling gym memberships, where a business development manager taught her how to ask good questions and how a sale is structured. That experience got her into the technology industry. She has also said that her father, who ran his own business and took her along on customer visits, shaped her approach to building relationships.
At Redgate she ran the company’s EMEA strategic accounts. David Brock of Partners in EXCELLENCE, who worked with Redgate’s North American sales teams, recalls that she travelled to the US to join their strategy workshops and then adapted that work for her own markets in EMEA. In 2018 Redgate entered the British Excellence in Sales Management Awards, which that year focused on ethical, customer-centred selling. The company reached the finals in four categories, and Roper won Sales Director of the Year.
She went on to take charge of Redgate’s revenue organisation as Chief Revenue Officer, a title she held by early 2024 and still holds on the company’s leadership page, alongside chief executive Jakub Lamik. Redgate was founded in Cambridge in 1999 by Neil Davidson and Simon Galbraith and now has more than 500 employees, six locations and a US headquarters in Austin, Texas. In January 2026 it announced a growth investment under which Bregal Sagemount would become its majority shareholder.
In interviews, Roper argues that technology sales has become much more professional over the past few years and that the stigma around selling, which she says is stronger in the UK than in the US, is fading. Her advice to people starting out is to learn to ask good questions and listen to the answers, to find a mentor, and not to be put off by a technical product.
Education
No education record was found in a first-party or press source. She has said she went to university before starting her sales career.
