SolarWinds’ later account of that period credits him with leading Cherwell’s sales team through growth and through its move to a subscription-based business model.

From Cherwell he moved to Rapid7, the Boston-headquartered security operations company, again as Chief Revenue Officer. Rapid7 filed a Form 8-K on 15 November 2022 under Item 7.01 announcing that Cuenin, “currently the Company’s Chief Revenue Officer, will be transitioning from the Company by the end of the year”, with the sales and customer success organisations moving to report to president and chief operating officer Andrew Burton. That filing fixes the end of his Rapid7 tenure at the close of 2022. He then became Chief Revenue Officer of Veracode, the application security testing company, a role SolarWinds described as his most recent when it hired him.

SolarWinds announced on 3 September 2024 that Cuenin would take over as its Chief Revenue Officer, with then-president and CEO Sudhakar Ramakrishna citing more than twenty years of driving revenue for IT and software companies.
