Executive Summary
Xavier Mariani is the co-founder and chief executive of Adikteev, the Paris company that runs app retargeting and user-acquisition campaigns for mobile app publishers, most of them games companies. He founded it in 2012 with Emilien Eychenne and Frederic Leroy and is registered as chairman of its board and directeur général. Adikteev is unusual among French adtech companies in two ways: it was built on comparatively little outside capital, and nearly all of its revenue comes from outside France. In 2025 Mariani and Eychenne completed a management buyout with AgilaCapital that took the founding pair back to about 60% ownership, at a time when the company reported USD 89 million in 2024 revenue.

He co-founded Adikteev in Paris in 2012 with Emilien Eychenne and Frederic Leroy; the company was registered in November that year. By February 2018, when it raised USD 12 million from Ring Capital, ISAI, Ventech and BNP Développement, FrenchWeb reported that it had run more than 10,000 campaigns for close to 500 clients and had offices in Paris, Berlin, New York and San Francisco. The company has repositioned several times since, settling on retargeting and re-engagement for mobile app publishers, mostly in gaming, and later adding a user-acquisition product.
Ownership has been a recurring theme. According to CFNEWS, the founders and employees became majority owners in a sponsorless transaction in early 2022. Growth then stalled: Mariani told CFNEWS that when video-game sales fell 10% in 2022 Adikteev’s revenue stayed flat, and it grew only slightly in 2023. A EUR 3 million bet on the start-up Tempr between 2022 and 2023, intended to bring in a customer-acquisition tool, did not work out, and Tempr was later liquidated. Growth then picked up to around 50%, and revenue reached USD 89 million in 2024.
In a reorganisation of the capital completed on 30 April 2025, Mariani and Eychenne took their stake to about 60% from 45% in a EUR 28 million MBO with AgilaCapital, whose pool of tech entrepreneurs put three founders of profitable unicorns on Adikteev’s board. Ventech, an investor since the seed round, and Ring Capital both sold out, and Arkéa provided EUR 30 million of senior debt. At the time CFNEWS reported a staff of about 120 across Paris, San Francisco and Seoul, with 62% of revenue from Europe and the Middle East, 33% from the United States and 5% from South Korea.
