Executive Summary
Sylvio Lindenberg is Co-Founder and Chief Marketing Officer of Quartile, a New York company that builds AI-driven advertising optimization for retail media: the sponsored-product and display advertising that brands buy on Amazon, Walmart, Instacart, Criteo-powered retailers and, increasingly, Google, Meta and Microsoft. Quartile says it now serves more than 5,300 brands and sellers in 32 countries and manages over $2 billion in annual ad spend. Lindenberg has been one of the company’s public voices since 2017, when it described itself as a native marketplace advertising agency for Amazon sellers, and he has held the marketing leadership role as it grew into a software platform.

Professional Journey
Quartile’s origins lie in Amazon’s marketplace. In October 2017, quoted as the company’s CSO, Lindenberg explained that its management team had decided “to move our expertise as former Amazon sellers to the service side of the table”, treating Amazon as a brand marketing channel rather than simply a store. At that point Quartile presented itself as an agency managing advertising campaigns, listings and product promotion for third-party sellers, with a proprietary algorithm to optimize spend.
By December 2018, when he was quoted as Chief Creative Officer, Quartile was analysing more than a million orders across over 100 brands to argue that Amazon was becoming a “pay-to-play” platform in which sponsored placement increasingly determined visibility. The company’s own history marks 2018 as its launch on Madison Avenue after two years of algorithm development, and 2019 as the year it reached $5 million in annual recurring revenue.
The business then widened from Amazon into a cross-channel platform. In 2021 Quartile acquired Sidecar, a Google Ads optimization company, with Rockbridge Growth Equity as lead institutional investor, and the combined company said it expected to manage $2 billion in advertising spend. Amazon gave Quartile its Scaled Technology Award in 2022. More recently the company has earned G2 and Gartner Digital Markets recognition, achieved ISO/IEC 27001 certification in May 2026, and announced support for advertising in ChatGPT in September 2026.
Lindenberg now holds the title of Chief Marketing Officer, working alongside CEO Daniel Knijnik and President Eduardo Knijnik. In that role he has hosted Quartile’s interviews with industry figures, including a conversation with Amazon’s Jeff Cohen on using Amazon Marketing Cloud data, test-and-learn campaign strategy, and why building a brand on a marketplace takes gradual investment rather than a quick fix.
