Executive Summary

Vincent (Vince) Mifsud is Chief Executive Officer of Guideline, a provider of advertising investment data and media planning software. He took the role in December 2024, succeeding co-founder Scott Knoll, the former Integral Ad Science CEO, who became Executive Chairman. Mifsud arrived from the Canadian enterprise software sector, where he had been President of Enghouse Systems and, before that, CEO of the content marketing software company ScribbleLive. Guideline’s own account of him emphasises consolidation experience, crediting him with more than 50 acquisitions and over $300 million in capital raised. That fits a company assembled by acquisition.

Career Highlights

  • Chief Executive Officer of Guideline since December 2024, and a member of its board.
  • President of Enghouse Systems, the TSX-listed enterprise software group, from January 2018, responsible for global sales, operations, product and finance.
  • CEO of ScribbleLive from 2014, having joined the Toronto company as CFO; on stepping down in January 2018 he became its board chair.
  • Earlier executive roles at Pivotal Corp. and Rand Technologies, where Guideline says he helped take the companies through their IPOs.

Professional Journey

Mifsud’s early career was in fast-growing technology companies, including Pivotal Corp. and Rand Technologies. Guideline describes him as having played a significant part in scaling their operations and in their initial public offerings.

He joined ScribbleLive, a Toronto content marketing software company, as chief financial officer and was named CEO in 2014. Under his leadership the company became a content marketing software provider that Guideline notes was recognised among Canada’s fastest-growing software companies. In January 2018, after about five years there, he left the CEO role and became chair of ScribbleLive’s board.

He moved directly to Enghouse Systems in Markham, Ontario, which named him President that month. Enghouse is a TSX-listed group of vertically focused B2B software businesses that grows mainly by acquisition. As its Global President he managed global sales, operations, product and finance.

In December 2024 Guideline announced him as its new CEO. Knoll had founded Guideline in 2020 to apply data science to media investment, and he built the company by buying Standard Media Index and SQAD in 2022 and Lumina in 2023. It sells advertising spend data and a media planning platform to advertisers, agencies and media owners. Knoll stayed on as Executive Chairman to lead the integrated product vision and support customer relationships. Mifsud’s brief is to carry the combined business through its next stage of growth.
