Executive Summary
Sushil Kumar is Chief Executive Officer of Cyara, whose platform tests, validates and monitors the customer journeys enterprises run across voice, digital channels, messaging and conversational AI, a category the company calls CX assurance. He was appointed in December 2025, succeeding Rishi Rana, as Cyara pushed further into validating generative and agentic AI in customer service. He came to the job as a founder and as a large-company product leader. He co-founded Relicx.ai, a generative AI test automation company that Harness acquired, and before that ran major product organisations at Oracle, CA Technologies and Broadcom. His career has centred on the machinery that checks software works before and after it reaches users.

Professional Journey
Kumar studied engineering at BIT Sindri and took an MBA at the Indian Institute of Foreign Trade. The bulk of his career was spent in enterprise infrastructure software. At Oracle he worked on Oracle Enterprise Manager, which his own biography says he helped scale into a business of more than $1 billion while launching several product lines of $100 million or more. He went on to lead product organisations at CA Technologies, including its AIOps business, and at Broadcom, where he ran a DevOps profit-and-loss.
He then co-founded Relicx.ai, which built generative AI-powered test automation around what it called intent-based automation: describing what a user journey should do rather than scripting every step. Harness, the software delivery platform company, acquired Relicx, and Kumar stayed on as General Manager of Harness AI Test Automation, writing publicly in early 2025 about applying generative and agentic workflows to end-to-end testing.
In December 2025 Cyara appointed him Chief Executive Officer, succeeding Rishi Rana. Cyara’s co-founder and non-executive chairman, Alok Kulkarni, pointed to his record of building and scaling platforms and to the opportunity as enterprises modernise customer experience and deploy generative AI. Cyara reports that its platform assures more than 350 million customer journeys a year and validates over a million AI-generated responses, and it is extending into agentic AI capabilities for continuous CX optimisation. For Kumar the move carries his testing and automation background from the software delivery pipeline to the customer-facing systems that enterprises run in production. He lives in the San Francisco Bay Area.
