Professional Journey
Sideridis studied mechanical engineering at the University of Patras, where he was involved in BEST, the Board of European Students of Technology. By his own account he has been a co-founder of technology companies since 2000, and the business that preceded Pobuca, SiEBEN, worked as a technology integrator in Greece built around Microsoft products.
Pobuca began as a spin-off of SiEBEN. Sideridis co-founded it in 2016 and has led it as chief executive from the start; by early 2017 it had raised $1.5 million over two funding rounds. In 2019 he took the company through what he has described as a pivot from the legacy integration business into a software-as-a-service company focused on customer experience. Pobuca went on to offer brands and retailers a combination of software, consulting and integration services on Microsoft technology to measure and improve customer experience and loyalty, and by his own account he has twice received the Microsoft Partner of the Year award for Pobuca.
The company now describes itself as AI-first but grounded in that customer expertise. Its products include Pobuca Customer Intelligence, covering CX metrics, customer 360, loyalty, service and contact-centre automation, and Zemark, which pairs selected tools with an AI expert for small and medium-sized businesses, alongside Dynamics 365 CRM, Power BI and Microsoft 365 projects. Sideridis publishes a CEO Journal on AI, customer experience and how technology changes work, and says he has spoken at many technology events and conferences.
Outside the business, he describes himself as someone who loves “rationalizing nature’s wonders”, and in 2011 he won the FameLab science communication contest.
