Executive Summary
Russell Rosa is Chief Revenue Officer of N-able, Inc., the NYSE-listed software company that arms managed service providers with remote monitoring and management, backup and security tooling. N-able’s customers are not end enterprises but the thousands of small IT service firms that look after them, which makes the company’s revenue engine a channel business first and a direct sales business second — and Rosa was hired precisely for that. He joined in July 2026 with more than 25 years in channel sales, most recently as Chief Revenue Officer of Sumo Logic, and took on N-able’s global sales organisation, its channel and partner ecosystem, support and sales operations in one remit. His appointment was disclosed in an SEC filing that simultaneously recorded the departure of his long-serving predecessor.
Career Highlights
- Joined N-able as Chief Revenue Officer effective 9 July 2026, announced 13 July, with responsibility for the global sales organisation, the channel and partner ecosystem, support and sales operations.
- Succeeded Frank Colletti, N-able’s long-standing revenue chief, whose departure the company disclosed in the same Form 8-K.
- Became a Section 16 reporting officer of a New York Stock Exchange registrant on appointment; his Form 3 was filed in July 2026 and a Form 4 followed in August 2026.
- Served as Chief Revenue Officer of Sumo Logic, leading the global sales and partner organisation across North America, EMEA and Asia-Pacific, where N-able says he consistently delivered double-digit growth.
- Previously ran Americas sales at Sumo Logic as Senior Vice President, covering enterprise and public-sector teams across North America, Canada and Latin America.
- Built Actifio’s worldwide sales channels and go-to-market strategy from the ground up, before the copy-data-management company’s later acquisition by Google.
- Held progressive sales leadership positions at Cisco and at VCE, the VMware–Cisco–EMC joint venture that packaged converged infrastructure.
- States his own priorities as strengthening partner relationships, building programmes that help the channel grow, and running a sales organisation built for consistent, repeatable execution.
Professional Journey
Rosa’s career has been built inside the enterprise infrastructure channel rather than in direct enterprise selling, which is a meaningfully different discipline: the customer is a reseller or service provider whose own economics have to work before anything gets sold onward. He held progressive sales leadership positions at Cisco and at VCE, the joint venture between VMware, Cisco and EMC that sold pre-integrated converged infrastructure — a product that existed only because three vendors agreed to sell through a shared channel.
At Actifio, the copy-data-management company, he built the worldwide sales channels and the go-to-market strategy from the ground up. Building a channel from nothing at a venture-backed company is a different exercise from managing an established one, and it is the credential N-able leant on in announcing him.
He then moved to Sumo Logic, the cloud log-analytics and security-monitoring company, first as Senior Vice President of Americas Sales — enterprise and public sector across North America, Canada and Latin America — and subsequently as Chief Revenue Officer, running the global sales and partner organisation across North America, EMEA and Asia-Pacific. N-able’s announcement credits him with consistent double-digit growth in that role.
N-able recruited him in July 2026 to drive upmarket expansion and partner-led growth. The transition was clean and publicly documented: the company’s Form 8-K of 13 July 2026 reported both that Frank Colletti had left the Chief Revenue Officer position effective 9 July and that Rosa had joined in the same role effective immediately, inheriting the functions Colletti had overseen. Chief executive John Pagliuca framed the hire around a track record at scale in cybersecurity combined with a commitment to partner success. Rosa remained an officer of the company as of his August 2026 Form 4 filing.
