Executive Summary

Ritik Malhotra is the founder and CEO of Savvy Wealth, a New York wealth management firm that pairs its own registered investment adviser, Savvy Advisors, with AI software built in-house for the independent financial advisors who join it. Founded in 2021, Savvy raised a $100 million Series C led by Halo Fund in September 2026, bringing its total funding to more than $200 million; it reports $9 billion in client assets and says it is approaching $100 million in annual recurring revenue. Malhotra came to wealth management as an engineer and product builder rather than an adviser: he had two startup exits, to Box in 2014 and Brex in 2019, and built Brex Cash as a product director at Brex.

  • Raised Savvy’s $100 million Series C, announced on 9 September 2026 and led by Halo Fund, the growth fund of Qualtrics founder Ryan Smith and Ryan Sweeney.
  • As Director of Product Management at Brex, started and built Brex Cash, the company’s second business line after its corporate card.
  • Two earlier startup exits, to Box in 2014 and to Brex in 2019.
  • Alumnus of Y Combinator and the Thiel Fellowship; B.S. in Electrical Engineering & Computer Science from UC Berkeley.

Professional Journey

Malhotra studied Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at UC Berkeley and is an alumnus of both Y Combinator and the Thiel Fellowship. His early career was as a technical founder, and it produced two exits: one to the cloud content company Box in 2014 and one to the corporate card company Brex in 2019.

At Brex he became Director of Product Management and started and built Brex Cash, which the company positioned as its second business line after the corporate card.

He founded Savvy Wealth in 2021 and launched its affiliated registered investment adviser, Savvy Advisors, shortly afterwards; the firm’s Form ADV records Savvy Wealth, Inc. as its owner and Malhotra as chief executive from February 2022. Savvy’s pitch is aimed at independent advisors who would otherwise sell to a private-equity-backed consolidator or join a large broker-dealer to get technology and operational support: it offers them an AI-native platform, Savvy Intelligence, that combines CRM, investments, tax and planning data and automates onboarding and client communications, while letting advisors keep ownership of their practices and client relationships. Malhotra put the argument in the Series C release: advisors are told they must give up independence to scale, and he considers that a false choice.

The firm has grown quickly. Its March 2026 Form ADV reported about $5.0 billion in regulatory assets under management across more than 14,600 accounts; by September 2026 Savvy was reporting $9 billion in client assets and more than 150 advisors. The $100 million Series C was led by Halo Fund, with existing investors including Thrive Capital, Index Ventures, Industry Ventures, Canvas Prime and Vestigo Ventures, the venture firm founded by former LPL Financial chief executive and chairman Mark Casady.
