Pot began in investment banking, working on natural resource mergers and acquisitions at Goldman Sachs, then moved to the physical side of commodities as a crude oil trader at Vitol Group. In June 2021 he founded the firm that became Tema. It was first registered as an investment adviser under the name Dawn Global Limited and later renamed Tema Global Limited, a Jersey entity; SEC records still carry Dawn Global as a former name of that registrant. Tema ETFs LLC, the US adviser to the Tema ETF Trust funds, followed in December 2024. Pot has been Founder, Director and Chief Investment Officer throughout at Tema Global, and Founder, Director, Chief Investment Officer and Portfolio Manager at Tema ETFs LLC — a portfolio-management role, not purely an executive one. He has also been Chairman of Tema ETF Trust since its inception and became its President in January 2026.
