Professional Journey
Gupta studied computer science and engineering at Bangalore University in India, then took a master’s degree in information systems at Florida State University and later an MBA from Indiana University’s Kelley School of Business. Before moving into healthcare software he led departments at large industrial and healthcare technology companies, Siemens, United Technologies and Philips Healthcare, in India, Germany and the United States.
At ResMed, as Senior Vice President of ResMed SaaS, he led the combined MatrixCare and HEALTHCAREfirst businesses, which supply software and services to home health and hospice providers. He then became CEO of LifeLoop, whose software connects residents, families, staff, operators and owners in senior living communities.
Viventium appointed him CEO in January 2024, describing the company as a software platform for human capital management in the post-acute care industry and saying his mix of healthcare and technology experience would help it deepen client relationships, drive product innovation and widen its presence in that market. Viventium now says it supports nearly 800,000 healthcare employees across all 50 states. In early 2026 Viventium completed the acquisition of New York-based Apploi, which closed on 30 January 2026 and brought recruiting and onboarding into the same platform as payroll, HR and workforce management. Announcing the deal, he argued that healthcare leaders were “tired of fighting with fractured systems that weren’t built for their specific needs”.
