Professional Journey

Hennessy built his career in enterprise software sales. He was VP of North American Sales at [24]7-Inc., a California-based provider of customer experience software to Fortune 500 companies, and then North American General Manager of ScribbleLive, a content and engagement software company.

He joined Doxim in 2017 as Chief Revenue Officer. Doxim was founded in 2000 as a digital-first provider of e-statements for credit unions and had been extending into banking, healthcare and utilities, largely by acquisition: its own history lists a run of purchases from Impress Digital in 2009 through Striata, Level One and others by 2021. As CRO, Hennessy led the sales, customer success, marketing, product and business development teams through much of that expansion.

Doxim went through a period of leadership change in the early 2020s, with Jeff Clarke serving as interim CEO. In September 2023 Clarke appointed Hennessy President, and in February 2024 the company named him Chief Executive Officer, with Clarke moving to Executive Chairman. “I’m thrilled to take this next step, from Doxim’s President to CEO,” Hennessy said at the time. A new executive team followed in 2024, including a Chief Revenue Officer, a Chief Financial Officer and a Chief Information Officer.

Under his leadership Doxim marked its 25th anniversary in January 2025 and, in December 2025, announced that it had consolidated its former Phoenix and Las Vegas operations into a single 64,000 square foot production site in Phoenix to serve as a West Coast hub for print, mail and omnichannel communications. “This investment ensures we better serve our clients by increasing our capacity,” he said.
