Professional Journey
Fraser earned an M.A. in economics at Cambridge University and an MBA at Harvard Business School. She began her career in mergers and acquisitions at Goldman Sachs in London, then worked for Asesores Bursátiles in Madrid, and became a partner at McKinsey & Company.
She joined Citi in 2004 in its Corporate and Investment Banking division. She was Global Head of Strategy and M&A from 2007 to 2009, CEO of the Private Bank from 2009 to 2013, and CEO of U.S. Consumer and Commercial Banking and CitiMortgage from 2013 to 2015.
She was CEO of Citi Latin America from 2015 and of Global Consumer Banking from 2019, and became Chief Executive Officer of Citigroup in March 2021. In October 2025 she was also appointed Chair of the Board. She chairs the Financial Services Forum and co-chairs the U.S.-Saudi Business Council.
