Professional Journey

InfoTrack was built in Australia to connect a law firm’s primary legal software with the other systems it relies on, and it later expanded into New Zealand, the United Kingdom and the United States. Its US business, with offices in New York and San Francisco, focuses on litigation: filing documents with courts, serving process, and keeping court dockets in sync with the firm’s own records.

Watts was CEO of InfoTrack US by August 2021, when the group completed its acquisition of Green Filing, which offered eFiling in California, Illinois, Indiana, Maryland, Utah and Texas. The company presented the deal as part of a push to cover the full litigation workflow in the United States, following earlier acquisitions it listed as One Legal, Lawgical and LawToolBox. “We are excited to welcome Green Filing to our growing portfolio of market-leading litigation offerings in the United States,” Watts said at the time.

In the years that followed he fronted a series of integrations and hires. InfoTrack connected its services to MyCase in 2023, with Watts arguing that lawyers and their support staff “should be focused on their clients, cases, and the litigation process, not managing tedious litigation support tasks.” Late that year it added Dan Lear and Michael Montalto to its leadership team as it pursued further growth.

In April 2025 InfoTrack launched InfoTrack Intelligence, which uses optical character recognition and AI models to read uploaded court documents and fill in filing forms. Watts called it “a pivotal moment in legal technology” and said early pilot users had cut eFiling time from ten minutes to thirty seconds. In April 2026 he announced a link between InfoTrack and LawToolBox’s deadline management, so that a filing completed in InfoTrack updates a matter’s deadline chart automatically.

The company’s own biography of Watts emphasises product: it describes his passion as developing innovative, market-leading products and bespoke solutions, and says he plays an integral part in product development from concept to implementation.
