Executive Summary

Dominic Allon is Chief Executive Officer of Cognism, the London company that sells B2B contact data and sales intelligence to revenue teams, with a particular strength in European data. He took the role in September 2025, succeeding interim CEO Pete Daffern. He came to it after running Pipedrive, the sales CRM, as its chief executive, which followed senior roles at Intuit and a decade at Google. Pipedrive and Cognism both sell to sales teams, one with the CRM they work in and the other with the data that goes into it.

Career Highlights

  • Appointed CEO of Cognism on 9 September 2025, with Chris Evans named Chief Revenue Officer at the same time. Still CEO as of September 2026.
  • Joined Pipedrive as CEO on 2 August 2021, taking over from two executives who had run the company as interim co-CEOs for six months.
  • Spent three years as SVP and General Manager of Intuit’s QuickBooks international business.
  • Spent ten years at Google, including three as Managing Director of Google Hong Kong and seven on Google UK’s leadership team.
  • Holds an MBA from Imperial College London.

Professional Journey

Allon spent the first long stretch of his technology career at Google: ten years, according to Pipedrive, including seven on Google UK’s leadership team and three as Managing Director of Google Hong Kong.

He then joined Intuit as Senior Vice President and General Manager of QuickBooks’ international business. He held the role for three years. Cognism describes his work there as scaling the business across major global markets.

In June 2021 Pipedrive announced him as its next chief executive, effective 2 August 2021. The CRM company was founded in 2010 and majority-owned by Vista Equity Partners, and said it was used by sales teams at more than 95,000 companies. For six months it had been run by CTO Sergei Anikin and COO Michael Schrezenmaier as interim co-CEOs, and both returned to their original roles when Allon arrived. Cognism later said he oversaw significant growth at Pipedrive and launched multiple AI-driven sales productivity features.

Cognism appointed him CEO in September 2025. The company was incorporated in the UK in January 2015 and sells B2B data and sales intelligence from its London headquarters. He succeeded Pete Daffern, who had been interim CEO and remained on the board. On his appointment Allon said AI was transforming go-to-market and that Cognism was “uniquely positioned to combine our data advantage with breakthrough product innovation.” A year later he was still writing for the company as CEO. His September 2026 post announced Cognism’s top ranking in G2’s Europe sales intelligence grid, and he described accurate, compliant data as “the standard we’re building Cognism around.”
