It is a return to a company she already ran: Price spent a decade on Aderant’s executive team, rising from CFO to COO to chief executive, and was the first woman to lead it. Her career before Aderant was in energy and utilities software, including as a co-founder of New Energy Associates.

Professional Journey
Price has spent her whole career in information technology, most of it running software businesses that serve a single specialised industry. She began at Energy Management Associates, which later became the Utilities Division of Electronic Data Systems, and went on to co-found New Energy Associates, where she served as President and CEO. When Ventyx acquired New Energy Associates’ assets from Siemens she moved into leadership there, including as CFO, and she remained with the business after Ventyx was sold to ABB.
She joined Aderant in 2011 as Chief Financial Officer and became Chief Operating Officer in 2014. In January 2017 the company named her President, the first woman in that role in its history; Aderant’s announcement credited her operational work with reshaping its professional services model and creating Aderant Academy. The company subsequently described the 2017 step as her promotion to CEO. During her time at the top, Aderant says, it made multiple acquisitions and moved from a single-product company to a multi-product portfolio.
In July 2021 Aderant announced that Price would leave to pursue other opportunities within Roper Technologies, its parent company, and that Chris Cartrett, promoted to President that month, would succeed her as CEO in January 2022. Within Roper she led iPipeline, the insurance technology company (Aderant calls her its CEO; the trade press says interim CEO), and later joined Roper’s M&A team, advising on strategic growth and acquisitions across the portfolio.
In July 2026 Cartrett announced he was leaving the legal industry to become chief executive of ImageTrend, and Aderant brought Price back as interim CEO from 20 July, ahead of his departure on 1 August, while it runs a formal search for a permanent successor. She leads a team that includes Chief Financial Officer Kevin Janflone and Chief Revenue Officer Aisling Fenelon.
