Executive Summary

Brad Wise is Chief Executive Officer of SageNet, a Tulsa, Oklahoma managed services provider that runs networks, satellite connectivity, digital signage and cybersecurity for widely distributed retail, financial, healthcare and energy businesses. He took the role in July 2021, promoted from President by founder Daryl Woodard, who moved to chairman after leading the company since its founding in 1998. The succession was an internal one: SageNet presented all three of that summer’s senior appointments as company veterans, and Wise himself said he and Woodard had worked together for almost a decade.

Career Highlights

  • Chief Executive Officer of SageNet since July 2021, responsible for the company’s vision, mission and execution.
  • Previously President of SageNet; over roughly eight years to 2021 he led its growth, broadened its products and services and took it past 450 employees.
  • Under his leadership SageNet became an authorised reseller of SpaceX’s Starlink in January 2025, adding low-Earth-orbit connectivity to its satellite services.
  • SageNet reported managing communications for more than 430,000 endpoints in 2025, against more than 220,000 at the time of his appointment.

Professional Journey

SageNet was founded in Tulsa in 1998 by Daryl Woodard and began as a regional firm focused on local and wide area networks. It grew by acquisition as well as organically: in 2013 it agreed to buy Spacenet, the satellite network services business of Gilat Satellite Networks, for about $16 million, and in February 2021 it acquired Convergent, a digital signage provider to Fortune 1000 companies.

Wise served as SageNet’s President through much of that expansion. When the company announced its July 2021 leadership changes, it credited him with leading its growth over the previous eight years, expanding its offerings, maintaining high customer retention and building the workforce to more than 450 people. Woodard appointed him CEO and moved into the chairman’s role, continuing to meet key customers and lead acquisition activity, while John Meek was named to a new Chief Operating Officer position. Wise described the changes as “catalysts for change” while remaining true to the fundamentals behind the company’s success, and set the aim of making SageNet “the managed services benchmark by which all others are measured.”

As CEO he has overseen SageNet’s 25th anniversary in 2023, when he spoke of anticipating “the needs and opportunities of tomorrow”, its designation as an authorised Starlink reseller in January 2025, and further executive hiring, including a Chief People Officer, Monica Didier, announced in May 2026. SageNet now lists regional offices in Atlanta, Toronto and Washington, D.C. alongside its Tulsa headquarters.
