Executive Summary

Alexandre de Vigan is the founder and chief executive of Nfinite, which builds AI and computer-generated product imagery for retailers and brands. He began his career as a mergers and acquisitions lawyer. He founded Nfinite in 2017, and it moved from real-estate visualisation into e-commerce. In June 2022 he raised a $100 million Series B led by Insight Partners, after a year in which annual recurring revenue grew tenfold and US customers went from none to most of the company’s revenue. Today Nfinite sells a visual compliance platform. It checks and fixes product images on retailers’ digital shelves for customers including Lowe’s, Amazon, Staples and Walmart Canada, and it has started turning 2D imagery into 3D training data for AI.

Professional Journey

De Vigan started out in law, not technology. HumanX describes his early practice as mergers and acquisitions work, followed by his first startup, in real estate. According to that account, the startup showed him how much online visuals could do, and that led to Nfinite.

He founded Nfinite in 2017. TechCrunch reported that it first made computer-generated imagery for real estate and switched to e-commerce about a year later. The pitch was that retailers could produce and manage unlimited product visuals with CGI instead of photo shoots. The company also ran a marketplace of 3D artists and tools. R&D and the marketplace stayed in France, and customer-facing work moved to the US. There the business grew fast: by June 2022 US customers made up 80% of revenue and 40% of logos, up from none in 2021.

That growth underpinned the $100 million Series B announced on 7 June 2022. Insight Partners led the round with existing investor USVP, and Insight’s Rebecca Liu-Doyle joined the board. The release reported tenfold ARR growth over the previous year and adoption by three of the world’s top five retailers. De Vigan described e-merchandising as “the link between the product, the consumer, and the online cart” and said Nfinite planned to become the category standard in the US, Europe and Asia.

Since then the product has moved from making images to governing them. In January 2026 Nfinite launched what it called the industry’s first Visual Compliance Platform at NRF 2026. The platform lets retailers set visual standards, score suppliers’ product imagery against them, and generate compliant replacements with AI and CGI. The same month Nfinite announced a collaboration with Getty Images to turn 2D creative content into 3D assets with spatial metadata, for training AI systems in scene understanding and robotics simulation. The company reports about 200 employees and more than 100 customers.
