Executive Summary

Yuval Wollman is President of CyberProof, the managed security services company wholly owned by the IT services group UST, and leads UST Innovation Israel, an innovation hub meant to connect UST’s customers with new technology. His route into the job is unusual for a cybersecurity executive: rather than coming up through security engineering or services sales, he spent a decade in the Israeli public sector, rising to Director General of the Intelligence Ministry, after earlier work as a Supreme Court law clerk and as senior economic adviser to the Finance Minister. He then moved into business development at IDB Group before joining CyberProof, where he has been its public voice on threat intelligence, geopolitics and AI risk.

Career Highlights

  • President of CyberProof, a UST subsidiary, a title the company used for him in 2022 and 2023 and under which he was bylined in January 2026.
  • Leads UST Innovation Israel, UST’s innovation hub in Israel.
  • Identified in 2018 as head of CyberProof’s Tel Aviv operation.
  • Formerly Vice President for business development at IDB Group, one of Israel’s largest conglomerates.
  • Director General of Israel’s Intelligence Ministry, the last post in a decade of public service.
  • Senior economic adviser to Israel’s Finance Minister and Chief of Staff.
  • Clerked at the Supreme Court of Israel, drafting decisions in constitutional and corporate law.
  • Served as an officer in the Israel Defense Forces’ 8200 unit.

Professional Journey

Wollman served as an officer in Unit 8200, the Israel Defense Forces’ signals intelligence unit, and trained in both economics and law at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. He qualified as a lawyer and clerked at the Supreme Court of Israel, where he drafted decisions in constitutional and corporate law.

He then spent about a decade in government. At the Finance Ministry he became senior economic adviser to the Finance Minister and Chief of Staff, and he ended his public-sector career as Director General of the Intelligence Ministry, the ministry’s senior civil servant. CyberProof describes him on that basis as a former intelligence chief.

Moving to the private sector, he became Vice President for business development at IDB Group, one of Israel’s largest conglomerates. He was working with CyberProof by 2018, when CTech by Calcalist, covering UST Global’s acquisition of the Israeli cybersecurity startup Bisec, identified him as head of CyberProof’s Tel Aviv operation.

CyberProof was built out of UST’s own cybersecurity practice and operates as a fully owned UST subsidiary, delivering managed detection and response and related security services under chief executive Tony Velleca. As President, Wollman has been one of its most visible commentators: CyberProof published an interview with him on new threats and new models in December 2022, and in September 2023 he discussed with the BBC how malicious code generated by AI tools could evade signature-based defences. In January 2026 he wrote for Infosecurity Magazine on how geopolitics, attacks on maritime supply chains and ungoverned “shadow AI” inside companies would test resilience that year. Alongside the CyberProof role he leads UST Innovation Israel, a hub intended to accelerate customers’ digital transformation and data analytics work.
