Wissem Souissi
Chief Executive Officer & Founder · Dasseti (a Nasdaq company)
Wissem Souissi founded Dasseti in 2018 to digitise the manual workflows that dominate institutional investment — due diligence questionnaires, RFP responses, ESG data collection and client reporting. He had seen the problem from inside the incumbents, having worked at Moody's Analytics, BlackRock eFront and eVestment. Nasdaq, which had invested in the company through Nasdaq Ventures in 2022, announced its acquisition in July 2026 and completed it on 2 September 2026, folding Dasseti's AI capabilities into Nasdaq eVestment.

Executive Summary
Wissem Souissi founded Dasseti in 2018 to attack a problem he had watched from inside the industry’s incumbent vendors: institutional investing still runs on manual, repetitive document workflows. Allocators send due diligence questionnaires; managers answer the same questions hundreds of times in spreadsheets and Word files; consultants maintain separate database narratives; ESG data is collected by email. Having worked at Moody’s Analytics, BlackRock eFront and eVestment, Souissi built Dasseti as a structured data layer underneath all of it — Dasseti COLLECT for allocators running due diligence and ongoing monitoring, Dasseti ENGAGE for managers answering DDQs and RFPs, Harvest for ESG metrics, and an AI assistant on top. The company’s name comes from a Buddhist term meaning to reveal or make visible. It grew to around 60 people serving clients in more than 40 countries across four continents, with those clients representing over $34 trillion in assets under management. Nasdaq Ventures backed it in 2022; Nasdaq announced the acquisition of the whole company in July 2026 and completed it on 2 September 2026, integrating Dasseti’s AI capabilities into Nasdaq eVestment.

Professional Journey
Souissi built his career in investment software and data at three companies that between them define the category — Moody’s Analytics, BlackRock’s eFront alternative-investment platform, and eVestment, the manager research and institutional data business. That vantage point is the origin of Dasseti. From inside those vendors he could see that although the industry had automated portfolio analytics, risk and reporting, the information exchange that surrounds a manager selection or an ongoing monitoring relationship had not been automated at all: due diligence questionnaires, requests for proposal, ESG data requests and client reporting were still being handled as documents passed between parties.
He founded the company in 2018, initially under the name Diligend, to make that data visible and structured. The name Dasseti, adopted later, comes from a Buddhist term meaning to show, reveal, exhibit or make appear — an unusually literal statement of the product thesis.
The product developed along both sides of the same exchange. Dasseti COLLECT serves allocators — institutional investors, funds of funds, general partners, investment consultants — running due diligence and ongoing manager monitoring. Dasseti ENGAGE serves the other end, helping asset managers and hedge fund managers respond to DDQs and RFPs without rebuilding the same answers each time. Harvest by Dasseti added ESG metric collection and analysis as that reporting burden grew, and the company layered analytics and an AI assistant, Sidekick, across the whole. The strategic argument the company now makes publicly is that reliable AI in due diligence depends on a structured data layer underneath it — which is precisely the asset Dasseti spent seven years accumulating.
Nasdaq’s interest came early. Nasdaq Ventures made an early-stage investment in 2022, at which point the strategic fit with eVestment — Nasdaq’s manager research and institutional data franchise, and one of Souissi’s own former employers — was already visible. The commercial relationship deepened into product: Dasseti built what it describes as the only direct integration between an RFP platform and Nasdaq eVestment Omni, letting managers maintain consultant database narratives alongside their DDQs and RFPs in a single workflow rather than duplicating effort across systems.
The company grew to around 60 employees with clients in more than 40 countries across four continents, and published case studies with Sun Life on COLLECT and Bennelong on ENGAGE. It won a best operational due diligence solution award under the Diligend name and was named to the WealthTech100.
In July 2026 Nasdaq announced it would acquire Dasseti outright, completing the transaction on 2 September 2026. Nasdaq’s stated rationale was to extend Nasdaq eVestment across the full manager research, due diligence and monitoring lifecycle by absorbing Dasseti’s AI capabilities. Terms were not disclosed.
