Executive Summary

Vasili Triant is Chief Executive Officer of UJET, the San Francisco company that sells a cloud-native, mobile-first contact center platform, now marketed around agentic AI for customer service. He was named CEO in April 2025, succeeding founding CEO Anand Janefalkar, who moved to Chairman of the Board and Chief Evangelist. The appointment capped a five-year climb inside UJET from Chief Business Officer through Chief Operating Officer and Co-CEO. He came to UJET with more than two decades in telecoms, unified communications and contact center software, including running Cisco’s contact center business and serving as CEO of Serenova.

Career Highlights

  • Chief Executive Officer of UJET since 29 April 2025, overseeing all company operations and strategic initiatives.
  • Joined UJET in 2020 as Chief Business Officer, then spent three years as Chief Operating Officer responsible for sales, channel, alliances and customer success.
  • Promoted to Co-CEO in September 2024, ahead of taking the sole CEO role the following spring.
  • Previously VP/GM of Contact Center at Cisco, where UJET credits him with the business’s fastest growth in over a decade.
  • Served as CEO of Serenova and held executive roles at ShoreTel and LiveOps.

Professional Journey

Triant built his career across the parts of the communications industry that have converged on the modern contact center: telecoms, unified communications and customer-service software. He held executive-level roles at ShoreTel, the business phone systems company, and at LiveOps, a cloud contact center pioneer. At Cisco he was Vice President and General Manager of the contact center business, where UJET says he oversaw its move to the cloud and achieved its fastest growth in more than a decade by emphasising global alliances and enterprise cloud-readiness. He went on to serve as CEO of Serenova, another contact center software company, leading it through what UJET describes as a significant phase of growth and recognition.

He joined UJET in 2020 as Chief Business Officer. In an interview on the company’s blog at the time he said the product had been “built emphasizing user experience”, pointing to its administration tools, security, scalability, CRM integrations and mobile-first design. He then spent three years as Chief Operating Officer, with all go-to-market functions reporting to him: sales, channel, alliances and customer success.

In September 2024 UJET made him Co-CEO alongside founder Anand Janefalkar, and on 29 April 2025 it named him sole Chief Executive Officer, with Janefalkar becoming Chairman of the Board and Chief Evangelist. The company framed the change as the start of a next phase of growth, pointing to its $76 million Series D and partnerships with Google Cloud and technology distributors. Since then UJET has pushed further into AI; in March 2026 it launched Agentic Experience Orchestration, which Triant presented as a way to free contact center agents to focus on customer relationships rather than replace them.
