Professional Journey
Miller studied political science at Albright College and later earned an MBA from the College of William and Mary. He began in government, as Associate Director of Intergovernmental Affairs at the White House. Karsun describes the role as the liaison between the President and state and local elected officials.
He then moved into federal IT contracting, holding leadership positions at Computer Sciences Corporation and Harris Corporation, both large government systems integrators. Before Karsun, he was Public Sector Chief Operating Officer at Visionary Integration Professionals.
Karsun Solutions was founded in Herndon in 2009 by Kartik Mecheri and Sundar Vaidyanathan, and its name combines theirs. Miller joined as chief operating officer, working across operations, business development and technology to prepare the company for delivery at a larger scale. In October 2020, after a run of contract wins that included the GSA Fleet Modernization contract, with a ceiling of $75 million, and more than $278 million of new awards that year, Karsun promoted him to President. The same announcement promoted five other leaders.
As President he has led Karsun’s work in cloud and modernisation. In February 2024 the company won a cloud computing Special Item Number on the GSA Multiple Award Schedule, which lets government buyers order cloud services from it; Miller said it would bring “elevated cloud capabilities into a wider range of government agencies”. He has also spoken on the Federal Tech Podcast about taking a product mindset to large-scale modernisation, backed by Karsun’s digital transformation toolkits. The company now describes itself as an AI-native systems integrator serving government agencies and highly regulated industries.
Miller has long been involved with the American Council for Technology and Industry Advisory Council (ACT-IAC). He graduated from its Partners Program in 2010, chaired its Management of Change conference in 2013 and was industry chair of the Partners Program in 2019. That year the programme formed three challenge teams to work on problems for GSA, NASA and the Small Business Administration. In 2020 FCW named him to its Federal 100.
