Executive Summary

Simha Sadasiva is co-founder and chief executive officer of Ushur, a Santa Clara, California software company that builds AI-driven customer-experience automation for regulated industries, above all insurance and healthcare. He founded the company with CTO Henry Peter around a single idea, automating the back-and-forth between large enterprises and their customers, and has since steered it from workflow automation into what it now calls an agentic platform: AI agents meant to finish a claim, an enrolment or a service request rather than merely answer questions about it. Before Ushur he spent his career in telecommunications infrastructure, most recently running a business unit at Veraz Networks, later Dialogic.

Career Highlights

  • Co-founder and CEO of Ushur, and a director of Ushur, Inc. according to its February 2025 SEC Form D.
  • Announced Ushur’s $50 million Series C in February 2023, with existing backers 8VC, Iron Pillar, Aflac Ventures, Pentland Ventures and Third Point Ventures increasing their commitments.
  • Launched the Ushur Agentic Platform in July 2026, combining AI agents, document intelligence, omnichannel engagement and governance for regulated enterprises.
  • Headed the Session Delivery Network Solutions business unit at Dialogic (formerly Veraz), and took part in Veraz’s 2007 IPO.
  • Held leadership roles at 3Com and Lucent Technologies.

Professional Journey

Sadasiva’s background is in communications networking. According to his Ushur biography, he held leadership roles at Lucent Technologies and 3Com, then led the Session Delivery Network Solutions business unit at Veraz, which went public in 2007 and later became Dialogic. His company bio describes his interest as building global teams and massively scalable infrastructure, which is the through-line from carrier networks to the platform he runs now.

He co-founded Ushur, which the company dates to 2015, with Henry Peter, who remains CTO. The premise was that customer communication in heavily regulated industries, such as insurance claims, benefits enrolment and health-plan member services, was slow, paper-bound and expensive, and could be automated end to end without handing the conversation to a generic chatbot. Ushur’s early customers came from insurance and healthcare, and by the time of its Series C the company said it served three of the top six healthcare companies.

In February 2023 Sadasiva announced a $50 million Series C, backed by existing investors who increased their positions, among them 8VC, Iron Pillar, Aflac Ventures, Pentland Ventures and Third Point Ventures. Directors named in the company’s 2025 Form D include representatives of several of those firms alongside Sadasiva and Peter.

Since then the product has moved with the market. Ushur launched Ushur Intelligence, which it describes as agentic AI for highly regulated enterprises, in June 2025, released an AI agent for health plans’ provider networks in October 2025, and in July 2026 launched the Ushur Agentic Platform. Sadasiva framed the launch plainly: “Everyone has taught AI to talk. The bar now is whether the claim gets paid, the member gets enrolled, and the customer walks away done.” Ushur is headquartered in Santa Clara and runs an India operation under a dedicated general manager.
