Executive Summary
Ravi Inukonda is Chief Financial Officer of DoorDash, the local commerce and delivery platform listed on NASDAQ as DASH, a role he has held since March 2023. He came to it from inside the company, having joined in November 2018 as Vice President of Finance and Strategy — two years before DoorDash’s initial public offering — and from a run of finance jobs in exactly the businesses DoorDash competes with and borrows from: he ran finance for Uber Eats through its formative years, and before that worked in technology private equity and venture capital. His background is an unusual composite for a chief financial officer: a chemical engineering degree, a master’s in computer science, and an MBA, before a career that began on an investment banking desk.
Career Highlights
- Chief Financial Officer of DoorDash since March 2023, succeeding Prabir Adarkar, who moved up to Chief Operating Officer and President (DoorDash 2026 proxy).

- Head of Finance for Uber Eats from November 2015 to November 2018, the period in which that business scaled internationally (DoorDash 2026 proxy).
- Vice President at Accel-KKR, a technology-focused private equity firm, from September 2014 to October 2015, and earlier Vice President at Battery Ventures (DoorDash 2026 proxy).

Professional Journey
Inukonda trained as a chemical engineer at BITS Pilani and then took a master’s in computer science at Clemson before moving into finance, starting in Goldman Sachs’s investment banking division. He spent the following years on the investing side rather than in operating companies: first as a vice president at Battery Ventures, then, from September 2014 to October 2015, as a vice president at Accel-KKR, the technology-focused private equity firm. An MBA from MIT Sloan sits alongside this transition.
In November 2015 he moved into an operating role that would define the rest of his career, becoming Head of Finance for Uber Eats. He held it for three years, through the period in which Uber’s food delivery business went from a side experiment to a major line of the company. In November 2018 he crossed to DoorDash — then still private and a good deal smaller than Uber — as Vice President of Finance and Strategy. He held that role through February 2022, a stretch that covered DoorDash’s December 2020 initial public offering and the pandemic-era surge in delivery volumes.
DoorDash’s own proxy statement records a thirteen-month gap between the end of that role in February 2022 and his appointment as Chief Financial Officer in March 2023, and does not say what he did in between; no source found in this review explains it. The March 2023 change was part of a wider reshuffle in which Prabir Adarkar, DoorDash’s CFO since 2018, became Chief Operating Officer and President. Inukonda has held the finance seat since, and as of DoorDash’s second-quarter 2026 report he remains Chief Financial Officer and Principal Financial Officer.
