His client work there spanned banking, consumer goods, retail, life sciences and automotive, and centred on strategy, consulting and large-scale technology and talent transformation, including programmes that combined cost reduction with modernisation of clients’ technology estates. Inside the firm he helped build Accenture’s technology capabilities in India and founded its private equity practice, building out due diligence and value creation work for investors. He became a Senior Managing Director in December 2013 and joined the Global Management Committee; in his last role he oversaw global technology sales, solutioning, assets and offerings, along with the network of Advanced Technology Centers. He left Accenture in April 2024 and set up RN Advisory LLC, providing independent consulting and advisory services.
On 7 July 2025 DXC announced his appointment as President, Consulting & Engineering Services, reporting to President and Chief Executive Officer Raul Fernandez. DXC said he would focus on accelerating customer innovation and on the company’s capabilities in AI, application modernisation and data analytics, and cited his work on the enterprise application of generative AI. He has since added to the unit’s leadership, bringing in leaders for enterprise applications and AI partnerships.
On 30 July 2026 DXC announced a new leadership structure in which Paul Taylor became President of the company, with Fernandez continuing as Chief Executive Officer. Venkataraman continued to lead Consulting & Engineering Services, now reporting to Taylor alongside the heads of DXC’s other offerings.
