Professional Journey

Pasricha’s career has alternated between carrier-side operations and the software that serves them, which is the background the BluePond thesis rests on. Before 2014 he was a senior executive at QBE Insurance Group responsible for strategy, technology and operations, a role that put him on the buying side of insurance technology. He left that in June 2014 to become Chief Executive Officer of Intellect SEEC, the insurance-focused business of Intellect Design Arena, where he spent six years to July 2020 building data and analytics products for underwriters and became a regular voice in insurtech trade press.

In August 2020 he joined Swiss Re as Global Head, P&C Solutions, a reinsurer-side role in which he stayed until December 2022. The years either side of that exit set up what came next: he founded BluePond Capital in August 2022 as a family office to incubate and invest in insurtech startups, and spent the first half of 2023 as Entrepreneur in Residence at Point72 Hyperscale, the hedge fund and private equity investor’s venture arm. That six-month posting is the visible hinge between operating executive and founder.

BluePond.AI followed in October 2023. The company’s argument is that property and casualty insurance is still run on unstructured documents – submissions, policy wordings, loss runs, bordereaux, invoices, treaty contracts – and that generative AI can read and reason over them at production quality if it is trained against a portfolio’s own decisions. The SENSE platform is organised around three functional areas, underwriting, claims and reinsurance, and the team Pasricha assembled reflects that: his co-founder and Chief Operating Officer Venkatesh Srinivasan was Global Head of Innovation and Claims Solutions at Swiss Re, and the leadership bench draws from Accenture, Cognizant, Intellect SEEC, AXA XL, Aspen and Aon.

His appointment to the Kingstone Companies board in August 2025 gave him a governance seat at a listed P&C carrier, and the company’s 2026 proxy identifies him as independent under Nasdaq rules and as Chair of the Nominating and Corporate Governance Committee.
