Professional Journey

Before founding iboss, Martini worked as a key architect on complex security and technology systems for clients including Phogenix, the U.S. Navy and Hewlett Packard. He was a key contributor at Copper Mountain Networks, an early supplier of the broadband equipment telecom carriers used to build out their networks. At Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC) he built distributed real-time network systems for clients including Rolls Royce. Both Copper Mountain and SAIC later went public. His work has also been published in scientific journals, including the Journal of Foundations in Computer Science and the Journal of Analytical Biochemistry.

He co-founded iboss and has led it as CEO while remaining its principal technical architect. The company’s December 2020 Form D, filed with a Boston principal address, lists him as an executive officer and director alongside Peter Martini and a board that included cybersecurity executive David DeWalt. It reported $50 million sold against a $70 million offering, with the first sale on 16 December 2020.

In recent years iboss has sold a consolidated Zero Trust SASE platform meant to replace separate VPN, proxy and branch firewall products. In September 2025 Martini announced Platform Release 10.4 and called data security “the cornerstone of modern cybersecurity”. In July 2026 the company launched a free AI Security Platform to show organisations which AI tools and agents are running in their environments.
