Executive Summary

Patrice Barbedette is Chief Executive Officer of EasyVista, the Paris-headquartered maker of IT service management and IT operations software. He is not one of its founders: EasyVista brought him in to succeed co-founders Sylvain Gauthier and Jamal Labed, and after a six-month handover he became global CEO in May 2022, with both founders moving to the board. What he brought was a founder’s record of his own. He started the recruitment-software company Jobpartners in 2000, sold it to Taleo in 2011, and then held senior HR-software leadership roles at Oracle after it bought Taleo.

Career Highlights

  • Chief Executive Officer of EasyVista, based at the company’s global headquarters in Paris.
  • Completed a six-month transition with EasyVista’s co-founders and took over as global CEO in May 2022. The company appointed a new CTO, CFO and Chief Customer Experience Officer at the same time.
  • Founded Jobpartners in 2000. Its London headquarters ran offices in France, Germany, Holland and Spain, and its customers included Nike, Xerox and Boots.
  • Sold Jobpartners to Taleo under a share purchase agreement dated 21 June 2011, filed with the SEC by Taleo.
  • Was Senior Vice President of HR Solutions for Europe, the Middle East and Africa at Oracle.

Professional Journey

Barbedette studied European business administration and management at Nancy Business School, now ICN Business School. He began in enterprise software, where he launched a customer relationship management product for a global software company. In 2000 he founded Jobpartners, which sold what it called people relationship management software: tools that helped large employers recruit, train and keep staff. The company was based in London and grew into a European supplier to multinational clients.

In June 2011 Taleo, the US talent-management software company, agreed to buy Jobpartners. The share purchase agreement was filed as an exhibit to Taleo’s 8-K. Oracle bought Taleo the following year, and Barbedette stayed on inside Oracle’s human capital management business. He rose to Senior Vice President of HR Solutions for Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

EasyVista, founded in France, sells IT service management, IT operations and self-service software. In 2021–22 it went through a leadership change. Barbedette spent six months working alongside co-founders Sylvain Gauthier and Jamal Labed, and in May 2022 the company announced that he had fully taken over as global Chief Executive Officer and that both founders had joined the board. The same announcement added a Chief Technology Officer, a Chief Financial Officer and a Chief Customer Experience Officer to his team. It reported more than 3,200 customers worldwide and two recent acquisitions, Goverlan and ServiceNav, and named Eurazeo and Cathay Capital as investors. At the time, Barbedette said EasyVista’s “loyalty to IT and to their strong values of customer centricity, trust, passion, and innovation immediately stood out to me.”

EasyVista’s current leadership page lists him as Chief Executive Officer. It describes his job as shaping the company’s global vision, driving strategic innovation and leading it toward continued profitable growth.

Education

ICN Business School (Nancy Business School)

Master’s degree, European business administration and management

EasyVista also describes him as an alumnus of London Business School. That appears to be executive education rather than a degree, so it is not listed here.
