Executive Summary

Michael “Mick” Beyer is Chief Executive Officer of LINC Systems, a distributor of fastening, industrial supply and packaging products based in Westfield, Indiana, which serves pallet, furniture, agricultural, automotive, housing, construction and general industrial customers. He took over in November 2022, the third CEO in the company’s history. He came to the role from finance rather than distribution, having been chief financial officer of three automotive and industrial suppliers. At one of those, Wolverine Advanced Materials, he had worked with Center Rock Capital Partners, the private equity firm that has owned LINC since 2018.

Career Highlights

  • Named Chief Executive Officer of LINC Systems effective 1 November 2022, succeeding Kelly Evans.
  • Announced LINC’s acquisition of CORUS Fastening, a Springfield, New Jersey fastening and pneumatic tools distributor, in November 2024. The deal widened LINC’s reach in the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic.
  • Chief Financial Officer of Henniges Automotive, a global supplier of sealing systems for the transportation industry, immediately before joining LINC.
  • Previously CFO of Aludyne, a lightweighting solutions and components supplier, and of Wolverine Advanced Materials, a damping and sealing solutions provider. At Wolverine he worked closely with Center Rock Capital Partners executives between 2011 and 2015.

Professional Journey

LINC’s announcement of his appointment credits Beyer with more than 30 years of industrial experience, spent largely in finance leadership at automotive and industrial manufacturers. He was chief financial officer of Wolverine Advanced Materials, which makes damping and sealing solutions for the automotive and sealing industries. There he worked closely with executives of Center Rock Capital Partners from 2011 to 2015. He was later CFO of Aludyne, a global supplier of lightweighting solutions and components, and then of Henniges Automotive, a global provider of sealing systems for the transportation industry.

The Center Rock relationship explains the move that followed. Ted Azar founded LINC Systems in 1995 and owned it alone until 2018, when he partnered with Center Rock to fund further expansion. In February 2021 Azar retired as CEO and Kelly Evans, whose family business R.V. Evans LINC had acquired in early 2020, succeeded him. At that point LINC reported more than 200 employees working in 37 states.

On 1 November 2022 LINC announced that Evans was retiring and that Beyer would succeed him as Chief Executive Officer. Beyer said he had spent a significant amount of time with the board and Evans over the previous few months. He described LINC’s reputation for “delivering service above and beyond our customers’ expectations” and said the job was to keep executing on the growth opportunities in front of the company. Center Rock partner Terry Theodore said the firm was excited about LINC’s opportunities under his leadership.

His tenure has been marked by acquisitions. In November 2024 LINC acquired CORUS Fastening, a fastening and pneumatic tools distributor in Springfield, New Jersey, which serves pallet, general industrial and construction customers across the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic. Beyer called it “a significant milestone in our journey to expand our market presence and enhance our service offering.”
