Professional Journey
Kachaev’s career started in software quality assurance. In a 2025 talk to students on Zubr Capital’s League of Analysts programme, he traced his path from junior QA engineer to chief executive and described having to learn to balance deep technical work with strategic management. EffectiveSoft says that over more than twenty years he built engineering organisations and ran complex programmes for Fortune 500 companies in financial services, consumer packaged goods and retail, automotive and manufacturing, and for independent software vendors in Silicon Valley. The company does not name his earlier employers.
EffectiveSoft announced him as chief executive in October 2023. The company, then marking twenty years in business, had completed more than 1,500 projects with an in-house team of over 300. Zubr Capital, its lead investor, said his experience and vision fitted its goals. Founder Alex Kirkovsky had run the business as interim CEO during the search. In his own statement Kachaev spoke of building “rock-star” teams and delivering great products.
During his tenure EffectiveSoft has run generative AI hackathons, earned ISO/IEC 27001:2022 certification and announced a partnership with Vidukate.ai on AI in personalised education. It also sponsored racer Mason Klein at the 2024 Dakar Rally, a project the company credits to Kachaev. The company describes his leadership in terms of client relationships and building management teams, and his own quoted view is that the job goes beyond delivering good service.
Education
EffectiveSoft states that he holds a Master of Science in Engineering specialising in automatic control systems, but does not name the institution, and no other reliable source naming it was found.
