Professional Journey

Shivers’ route into automation consulting ran through the institutions that buy it. He worked as a business analyst at BearingPoint, the consultancy spun out of KPMG, and then as a senior business analyst in change management at American Home Mortgage. From there he moved to BNY Mellon, where he led the bank’s robotic process automation work — the vantage point from which the gap between what automation vendors promise and what a large regulated institution can actually absorb is most visible.

Ignite IPA was his answer to that gap.
