Executive Summary
Luigi Lenguito is co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of Bfore, the predictive cybersecurity company formerly known as BforeAI. Its PreCrime platform analyses internet infrastructure and behaviour to identify domains and networks being prepared for phishing, fraud and impersonation campaigns, so that customers can block them before an attack is launched rather than responding afterwards. He came to it by an unusual route: a professional racing career in Italy, then 18 years and, by his own count, 26 roles at Dell, followed by EMEA sales leadership at Quest Software. Under him the company has raised more than $30 million, including a $15 million Series A led by SYN Ventures in 2024 and a $10 million Series B led by Titanium Ventures months later, and moved its headquarters from France to New York.

- Spent 18 years at Dell, from Italian-market tech support through training, marketing, sales, product and M&A roles, and started the Dell for Entrepreneurs programme in France.

Professional Journey
Lenguito grew up in Naples and, in his own telling, came to technology twice: once as a child fixing computers, and again after a first career in motor racing, which he says took him from karting through Formula 3 and Formula 4 before money ran out. He moved to France and joined Dell in the technical support operation it was building for the Italian market. That was the start of an 18-year career in which he says he held 26 different roles, moving through training, marketing, sales, product development, product management and mergers and acquisitions, and describing himself as an intrapreneur who proposed most of the jobs he took.
Towards the end of that period he started the Dell for Entrepreneurs programme in France, which put Dell employees to work mentoring early-stage startups. By his account it grew to more than 400 Dell staff supporting 10 to 20 startups at any one time. After Dell he led EMEA sales at Quest Software.
The idea for his own company came, he says, from a customer who suggested he watch Minority Report and its “pre-crime” unit, and from a research programme he attended, which he describes as one of a series of serendipitous events. He trademarked “PreCrime” before he had secured a domain name. With Luciano Allegro and Sebastian Cesario he founded BforeAI in France, with a base in Montpellier. The product treats the internet like a weather system: it ingests large volumes of domain, IP and network metadata, establishes baselines of normal behaviour, and flags infrastructure whose behaviour indicates it is being prepared for malicious use, so that it can be blocked or taken down. The company later added brand protection, social media takedowns and deepfake detection, and offers a PreCrime Guarantee under which customers are reimbursed if its predictions fail.
In April 2024 BforeAI announced a $15 million Series A led by SYN Ventures, with Karma Ventures, Karista, Addendum Capital and the Partnership Fund for New York City. Less than six months later it closed a $10 million Series B led by Titanium Ventures, which Lenguito said the company did not strictly need but took to accelerate expansion into utilities, pharmaceuticals and healthcare. The Partnership Fund’s chief executive credited the company with moving its headquarters to New York after taking part in the FinTech Innovation Lab. In 2024 Gartner named it a Cool Vendor for AI in banking and investment services.
The company now calls itself Bfore and presents its platform as preemptive cybersecurity. Lenguito remains Chief Executive Officer and Co-Founder on its leadership page, and he has said he has lived in France for 25 years while working across New York, Miami and elsewhere.
