Professional Journey
Before games, Segalla worked in entertainment and media. Tilting Point’s own biography calls him a founder of several companies in media finance, entertainment-related real estate, studio operations, and film and TV production, but it does not name them, so they are not listed here.
He founded Tilting Point in 2012. According to Wikipedia it was set up as Tilting Point Media with co-founder Dan Sherman, who left in January 2018. The company’s model, which it calls progressive publishing, is to take games that are already live and pay for user acquisition and live operations to scale them. Over time it began buying games and studios too. Wikipedia records purchases including Star Trek Timelines from Disruptor Beam in 2020, the Korean developer AN Games in 2022 and Montreal’s Budge Studios in 2022.
The 2021 General Atlantic round was Tilting Point’s first equity financing. Segalla and Agili were then co-CEOs, and Segalla said the company planned to “expand our operations and aggressively pursue larger M&A opportunities with our top developer partners.” The company was later reorganised under a single chief executive. Tilting Point’s leadership page now names Segalla Founder & CEO and Agili Chairman of the Board. No dated announcement of that change was found.
Licensed games remain central to the business. In March 2025 Tilting Point and AN Games launched Avatar Legends: Realms Collide on iOS, Android and PC under a Nickelodeon licence. Segalla, quoted as CEO and Founder, said the company “couldn’t be more thrilled to have worked with Nickelodeon again”. Tilting Point says it has studios in Montreal, New York and Barcelona.
