Walker earned a Bachelor of Business Administration at Valparaiso University and an MBA at Lipscomb University. Before joining CE Broker she held senior roles at Ascend Learning and ProviderTrust, and was Executive Vice President and Managing Director at symplr, which makes healthcare operations software. Those businesses sit close to Propelus’s own market: professional education and credentialing, provider monitoring, and the administrative machinery hospitals use to manage their workforce.

CE Broker, which has operated for more than 20 years, announced her as its new chief executive in November 2022. At the time she pointed to the administrative burden on healthcare professionals and employers as the reason demand for compliance tools was growing. Within months the company began to widen its scope. In April 2023 CE Broker, then backed by Marlin Equity Partners, acquired Immuware, which manages occupational and employee health records. Walker said the combination would “modernize how our professionals, employers, regulators, agencies, and associations work together to streamline and automate compliance-driven operations.” CE Broker’s EverCheck product already monitored compliance for more than 400 hospital networks.

In August 2023 the businesses were brought together as Propelus, with CE Broker, EverCheck, Immuware and Data Solutions as its product lines. Writing for the company’s second anniversary in 2025, Walker described the move as building on 20 years of work in healthcare compliance, and the company says its solutions now cover more than seven million professionals. Propelus lists offices in Jacksonville Beach, Florida and Boulder, Colorado, and continues to publish regular updates on licensing and compliance policy for its customers.
