Professional Journey
Zable holds an MA in Applied Economics from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, and a BA with class honors in Economics and Creative Writing. He started his career at BlackRock, working in product marketing, product development, product management, marketing communications and information management.
He then moved to research at global broker-dealers and investment banks, where he led several research platforms. The most senior of these roles was Managing Director and Head of Global Healthcare Research at Natixis Bleichroeder. SEC-filed transcripts show him questioning medical-device companies on earnings calls as an analyst with Natexis in 2006 and with WJB Capital in 2011.
From there he crossed to the corporate side. At Sirona Dental Systems, the dental equipment maker, he was Vice President, Investor Relations, and was named as its investor contact on releases filed with the SEC in 2012. He later moved to Dentsply Sirona, where he was a Vice President with roles spanning marketing, communications, investor relations and strategic planning, and he was still the investor relations contact on a January 2018 release. He then became a Principal and Senior Vice President of Black Briar Capital, a private investment firm.
At Minitab he took on finance alongside marketing and strategic planning: the company’s March 2025 announcement of its Prolink Software acquisition lists him as Chief Financial, Marketing & Strategic Planning Officer. Prolink automates data collection from inspection equipment for statistical process control. Minitab went on to announce the acquisitions of Scytec, a machine-monitoring software company, in January 2026, the Effex design-of-experiments tool in February 2026, and its South Korean partner DataLabs in July 2026. The company now lists Zable as President, Chief Financial Officer and Board Member.
Minitab’s biography also credits him with a place on the Institutional Investor All-America Executive Team and with recognition from Alumni Spotlight, the American Business Awards, Best in Biz Awards, the International Business Awards, IR Magazine and Ragan. Outside Minitab, he sits on the Board of Directors of Acera, LLC, which makes LED medical illumination.
