Professional Journey
Goulding joined EMC Corporation in 1995 and rose to Senior Director of Global Support. He then moved to Cork-based CoreHR, first as chief operations officer and later as chief executive. Workvivo describes its founders as having “extensive first-hand experience in creating successful HR technology,” and his CoreHR years are part of that experience.
In 2017 he and Joe Lennon founded Workvivo, with, in the company’s words, “the sole mission to build a different employee communication platform geared to elevate the employee experience for everyone.” Over the next several years it raised several funding rounds and signed customers including Lululemon, Ryanair and Madison Square Garden.
On 14 April 2023 Zoom announced it would acquire Workvivo to add an employee experience product to its platform. Zoom said Goulding, Lennon and the Workvivo team would be instrumental in driving its employee experience innovation strategy. In June 2024, when Zoom opened Workvivo to resale by its channel partners, it identified him as Founder of Workvivo and Head of Digital Employee Experience at Zoom. He said then that customers could now add employee experience functionality to their existing Zoom services.
Workvivo’s own site continues to name him as CEO. Under Zoom ownership the business has grown substantially. Business & Finance reported revenue up 174% to €69.39 million in 2024, and a turnaround from a €19.3 million pre-tax loss in 2023 to a €20.7 million pre-tax profit. On that basis it named him Business Person of the Month for December 2025, in an article published in February 2026. Workvivo reports a team of about 300.
