Professional Journey

Oliver spent the first long stretch of his career - thirteen years - at AIT Worldwide Logistics, the Illinois-based freight forwarder, ending as Manager of National Accounts and Home Delivery. That pairing of national account management with home delivery is the seed of everything that followed: it put him at the point where a forwarder’s relationship with a large shipper meets the hardest and least forgiving part of the physical network, the final leg into a residence.

In 2011 he moved to XPO Logistics, staying six years through the period in which XPO assembled itself by acquisition into one of the largest transport and logistics groups in North America. He spent the final three of those years as Vice President of Corporate Operations for Global Forwarding, a corporate-level operations role over an international freight business built from a series of bought-in companies - which is to say, a role principally about making acquired operations work as one. He left in 2017, spending a period as Vice President, Business Development at ALG Worldwide Logistics.

SEKO Logistics hired him in September 2018 as Vice President of Domestic Operations, based in Chicago.
