Executive Summary
Gil Allouche is the co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of Metadata, a B2B marketing automation platform that uses AI to run and optimize demand generation campaigns, which he has led since co-founding it in 2016. The company came from a frustration he experienced directly. As a marketing leader at a series of enterprise software companies, he spent his time wiring together advertising platforms, CRM systems, and marketing automation tools by hand to run the experiments he actually wanted — testing audiences, creative, and offers across channels and reallocating spend based on which produced pipeline rather than clicks. No product did that. Being a former software engineer, he eventually built one.

Professional Journey
Allouche began as a software engineer before moving into marketing, a transition that runs against the usual direction and that shaped everything he built afterwards. He took an MBA at Babson’s F.W. Olin Graduate School of Business focused on entrepreneurship and technology, working as a product strategist at SAP while studying, and went on to senior marketing and product management positions at TIBCO Software, Karmasphere, and 1Yell.
He became Vice President of Marketing at Qubole, a big data SaaS company in Mountain View. In that role the gap that would become Metadata was unavoidable. B2B demand generation requires running many simultaneous experiments across LinkedIn, Google, Facebook, and other channels, matching them against target account lists, tracking which ones produce actual pipeline rather than form fills, and shifting budget accordingly. The tooling available handled fragments of this — an ad platform here, a marketing automation system there, a CRM holding the outcome data — and none of them talked to each other in a way that let a marketer close the loop. Marketers with engineering instincts, Allouche among them, patched the gaps with scripts and integrations.
He co-founded Metadata in 2016 to build that system properly: a platform that runs campaigns across channels against defined audiences, measures results against revenue outcomes rather than engagement metrics, and reallocates spend automatically toward what works. The approach became more capable as machine learning improved, and the company positioned its AI Operator as software that runs the experimentation loop rather than merely reporting on it.
He holds four issued patents, is a member of the Forbes Business Council, and appears frequently as a podcast guest and commentator on B2B marketing, where his positions tend to reflect the engineer’s view that most marketing measurement is proxy metrics standing in for revenue.
