Professional Journey

Goldstein studied English at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. His early career was in enterprise software sales at two companies that bracket the market Asure now serves: Ceridian, where he was a Vice President, sells payroll and HR systems to employers, and Oracle, where he was a Regional Vice President, sells the large enterprise applications that sit above them.

He then spent three years as Executive Vice President of DAZ Systems, a software company, before becoming Chief Revenue Officer of FilmTrack in March 2013. FilmTrack, backed by Insight Venture Partners, builds a rights management platform for media and entertainment companies to track licences and royalties. He stayed until December 2016.

That month Asure Software announced him as its new Chief Revenue Officer. Asure, incorporated in 1985 and headquartered in Austin, sells cloud HCM software to small and mid-sized businesses: payroll and tax, HR compliance, time and attendance, recruiting, benefits administration and related tools. It reaches more than 100,000 clients, about a third directly and the rest through Reseller Partners that sell its products under their own names.

In August 2020 the board also appointed him President, and he has held both titles since. The company’s own filings list him as President and Chief Revenue Officer in the executive-officer table and as Chief Revenue Officer in the compensation tables and on his insider-trading reports. Revenue rose to $140.5 million in 2025 from $119.8 million a year earlier. He is also a shareholder: the 2026 proxy reports beneficial ownership of about 1.6% of the company’s stock.
