Professional Journey
Conti studied business administration at Bowling Green State University and earned an MBA at the University of Chicago, where he also worked as a research assistant. His career covers financial software, risk analytics and compliance. Numerix’s biography describes CEO and executive leadership roles at Opus Global, Kroll and Dun & Bradstreet, and further leadership positions at the private equity firm Welsh Carson, at Ernst & Young and at Qwest Communications. It does not date these roles. He has also served as a board advisor in fintech, generative AI and chronic care management.
Numerix appointed him Chief Executive Officer in May 2023. The company had been built over more than 21 years under Steve O’Hanlon into a supplier of cross-asset analytics for capital markets and had been acquired by Genstar Capital in August 2022. Conti was the first CEO of the Genstar era. On his appointment he said the plan was to build on Numerix’s market position and “significantly accelerate growth through additional acquisitions” and new products.
The acquisitions came quickly. In August 2023 Numerix bought PolyPaths, a provider of analytics and risk management for structured finance and fixed income. The deal also gave Numerix asset liability management capability, which took its reach from the trading book to the banking book. In October 2024 it acquired Kynex, a platform for convertible securities valuation, portfolio and risk management and trade flow. Both product lines now sit within Numerix’s Oneview and analytics offerings, under a strategy the company calls Front-to-Risk.
