Executive Summary

Doris Li Yeh founded Mirapath in 2003 and has run it ever since. The company does the part of data centre work that gets least attention and causes most trouble: the physical build. It designs, procures, installs and manages racks, power distribution, cooling, cabling and structured infrastructure for data centres and engineering labs, under a methodology it calls DPIM — design, procure, install, manage — and it stays deliberately vendor-agnostic, which is unusual in a channel that mostly exists to move one manufacturer’s boxes. Customers include Cisco, Google, HP, Palo Alto Networks, Pandora, Pure Storage, Tesla and VMware. Over two decades Yeh has taken it from Cupertino to offices in Austin, Amsterdam and Singapore, and repositioned it around the density, power and cooling demands of AI infrastructure. She is an electrical engineer trained at the University of São Paulo and works in English, Mandarin and Portuguese.

Professional Journey

Yeh took a BSEE at the Universidade de São Paulo — an unusual route into Silicon Valley, and the reason she works in Portuguese as well as English and Mandarin. Her career before Mirapath is reported to have run through the Bay Area server and Linux hardware companies of the late 1990s and early 2000s: sales management at Cyclades, which made console and terminal servers for data centre management; a territory sales role at VA Linux Systems; and a sales directorship at California Digital. That sequence is not confirmed by any source outside contact-data aggregators, but it matches the shape of what she went on to build.

Mirapath was founded in 2003. The insight was that enterprises buying data centre and lab infrastructure were being sold products when what they needed was an outcome — a working, documented, maintainable facility — and that the gap between the two was where most of the cost and risk sat. The company built its practice around a full lifecycle model, design through procurement through installation through ongoing management, and around consultative rather than transactional selling. CoreSite, a partner, has singled out two things as unusual: that Mirapath stays vendor-agnostic rather than tying itself to a manufacturer’s line, and that it staffs a dedicated customer success manager role, rare in infrastructure integration. Yeh’s own framing of the business is that in a commoditised industry the winner is whoever provides the right solution rather than the most expensive one.

Growth came steadily rather than through funding events. By 2017 the company was on the USPAACC Fast 100 list of Asian American businesses, the CRN Fast Growth 150 and the CRN Solution Provider 500, and ranked sixth among minority-owned businesses by the Silicon Valley Business Journal. It expanded out of California into Austin, then internationally to Amsterdam and Singapore, following the geography of its enterprise customers’ data centre estates. In 2018 Yeh completed Harvard Business School’s Owner/President Management programme, the executive course aimed at founders running established businesses.

The most recent phase has been the AI build-out, which has made the physical layer harder in ways that suit a specialist: rack densities, power delivery and liquid cooling requirements that most general integrators have not had to solve. Mirapath now positions itself around AI-ready infrastructure delivered at scale. In 2024 the Women Presidents Organization named Yeh to its Women2Watch list, and in February 2026 the Cupertino Chamber of Commerce gave the company its Bridge Award, with Yeh accepting it on the theme the company has used throughout: “Our mission has always been to connect people, technology and opportunity.”

Education

Universidade de São Paulo

BSEE, Electrical Engineering

She also completed Harvard Business School’s Owner/President Management programme (OPM 52, 2018). This is an executive education programme rather than a degree and is recorded here for completeness, not as a qualification.
