Over more than 25 years he has worked in business advisory, software selection and the deployment of ERP, CRM and data platforms for large enterprises across consumer goods, energy, manufacturing, chemicals, industrial machinery and the public sector.

The role immediately preceding Qnovate was a partnership at Ideaca, a Canadian enterprise consultancy, which he held from 2011 until the start of 2014. He founded Qnovate in 2014.

Qnovate’s positioning is narrower than its marketing language suggests. Although the firm describes itself in the broad vocabulary of digital transformation, its practice structure gives it away: a dedicated S/4HANA practice, SAP analytics and cloud capability, and status as a global SAP partner. S/4HANA migration in particular has been a durable source of demand, since SAP’s deadlines for moving customers off legacy ECC systems have forced a generation of large enterprises into multi-year programmes they would not otherwise have undertaken.
