Professional Journey
Sen trained as an engineer and earned a B.Tech (Hons.) in Electronics and Communication Engineering from IIT Kharagpur, which lists the year as 1997. He built his career at PricewaterhouseCoopers India, where he became an Executive Director and Partner. His final roles there covered both practice leadership and geography. He was PwC India’s Technology Consulting Leader and part of the technology leadership team for the wider PwC Network. He was Managing Partner in Eastern India. He was also the Analytics Competency Lead for Europe, the Middle East, Africa and India.
He then joined the TCG Group, the investment and operating group that Dr. Purnendu Chatterjee founded in 1989, and became CEO of TCG Digital. The company’s own description of its focus is AI, analytics, mobility, cybersecurity, blockchain, IoT and robotic process automation, built on the mcube data platform. By November 2020 he was CEO when TCG Digital and Lummus Technology announced Lummus Digital, a joint venture to bring big data, advanced analytics, AI and process simulation to refining, petrochemical and gas processing operators. At the launch he said TCG Digital served “the biggest downstream petroleum and petrochemical companies.”
In 2026 the company pushed mcube toward agentic AI, and Sen was keynote speaker for the mcube 5.5 release webinar in August. In September he led TCG Digital’s delegation to CII ICT East 2026, where he gave the inaugural keynote on India’s AI roadmap and opportunities for Eastern India. He works with Executive Chairman Mikael Hagstroem, who is also CEO of TCG group company LabVantage Solutions.
Outside the company, TCG Digital’s biography says he has contributed to leading journals, spoken at seminars in the US and India, held positions in several chambers of commerce, and chairs the Eastern Region of the American Chamber of Commerce.
